Good morning people who love God

There are many important things in life. There are many things that need to be done. There are many breakthroughs awaiting our initiative. There are many lives waiting to be changed by our love and service.

But what is the greatest thing in life?

I believe with all my heart that it is to know God more. I believe the result is to love Him more and love others more, but it starts with knowing Him more.

I pray that knowing God more becomes the greatest pursuit of our lives. I am not talking about an academic ascent to understanding but a deep and intimate knowing of God that comes by revelation of the Holy Spirit. I pray we seek Him out in the Scriptures. I pray we seek Him out in nature and His creation. I pray we seek Him with all of our hearts while He may be found (Isaiah 55:6).

We all know a little about God. We know God is love. We know He is patient and He is kind. We know He forgives us and offers us grace.

But did you know there is so much more to know about our great God? If we were to search for Him and if we received revelation about Him every moment of every day, and if we did that for the rest of eternity, there would still be more to know. God Himself is inexhaustible! Oh that we would hunger and thirst after Him! There are treasures in Him and Who He is. What God gives us and what He does is not as beautiful or as wonderful as Who He is.

Are you hungry for more of God? Are you hungry to know Him more? Please, please, please do not settle for a ‘normal’ Christian life as we think it might be. There is more and that more is God Himself.

May you live in an ever increasing revelation of Who God is.
