#901 – Reconciliation

Good morning people saved into eternal life

Romans 5:9-11 Since we have now been justified by His blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through Him! For if, when we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to Him through the death of His Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through His life! Not only is this so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.

I know some of these words are a bit difficult to understand but let me try and point us to a couple important truths here.

The word justified here means to render or show as just and innocent. This is incredible news! Every person has sinned; we have all fallen short of God’s perfect righteous standard. Our sin created an insurmountable gap between us and God. Our best of deeds is not good enough to close that gap. But through Jesus Christ’s sacrifice, we are made innocent; it’s about what God has done for us, not what we have done to Him. I’m sure glad of this!

It’s great to be saved from death but it’s a far greater blessing to be saved to life. This is what God has done for us
