Good morning people who understand the truth about eternal life.

John 17:3 NIV “Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.”

I have talked about this before, and no doubt, I will talk about it again. But it is the most foundational truth we can know.

Jesus is speaking and He makes it clear what eternal life is. He said eternal life is knowing the Father and knowing Jesus Christ.

Yes, eternal life involves forgiving sins. But this is a necessary part of getting to the destination of knowing God!

Yes, eternal life involves going to heaven. But this is a necessary part of getting to the destination of knowing God!

Everything good that we receive from God is good because it comes from Him. Don’t miss this. Everything gets its goodness from God.

Knowing things about God is a great step in the right direction, but it’s not the same as knowing God.

Naturally, you can know about a person, and yet you might have never even met them.

Knowing God is eternal life. And because He is infinite, knowing Him better is the deeper realm of eternal life that we are all invited into. This is eternal life!
