Good morning people who have received the Spirit who sets us truly free.

Fear is a big issue in our world today. The reality is, it has always been a big issue.

But God is greater than fear!

Fear is not from God. Actually, it is from the enemy and it is a spiritual harassment that Father wants His children to be free from.

2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Fear that robs us of power, love and a sound mind is not from God. There is no fear like this in heaven – none. Yes, there is holy reverence towards God, but that’s not what we are talking about here.

Fear that cripples, that debilitates, that causes us to shrink back from living joy-filled and free in the Holy Spirit is an enemy. It needs to be said this clearly and embraced fully.

I struggle with an overwhelming fear of heights. It’s horrible, and it’s not from God. I’m on a journey with this. Maybe you’re on a journey of your own too.

So, what’s the answer?

The following scripture comes to my mind:

1 John 4:18 NIV There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

This same chapter tells us that God is love. There is no fear in love means that there is no fear in God. There is also no fear when our full attention is on Him. I know that this is true in my own life.

I also know that my full attention is not always on Him. The result is fear.

Let’s look more at this tomorrow as I feel Father is speaking to us deeply.
