Good morning people who believe what God says

The biblical view of blessing is so very different to the natural view of blessing.

So often we think we are blessed if…things are going well…something has increased or changed for the better…we are now free from pain or discomfort…we receive something we have wanted for a long time…

But the Bible shares a different story.

I’ve spoken before about the list of blessings found in Matthew 5:3-12 and I encourage you to read them again. Caution: some of them don’t sound very comfortable and nice!

Today let me share one more evidence of a blessed life.

This story is about Mary the mother of Jesus when she went to visit her cousin Elizabeth (the mother of John the Baptist) when they were both pregnant. Here’s what Elizabeth said to Mary.

Luke 1:45 Blessed is she who has believed that what the Lord has said to her will be accomplished!

I believe the same is true for us all today. We are blessed when we believe that what God has said, He will do. We are blessed when we live in faith. We are blessed when we guard against doubt and stay in a place of trusting God because He is always faithful.
