Good morning people committed to Christian maturity

The Apostle Peter understood grace and he wrote about it a lot in the two books of Peter. Let’s glean a bit from his wisdom as a friend of God.

1 Peter 1:1-2 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ. To God’s elect…who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and sprinkling by His blood: Grace and peace be yours in abundance.

Peter sets up who he is talking to and starts with all God has done for us. Then he makes his opening statement for us now:

Grace and peace be yours in abundance!

In the King James Version, it says: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

This word multiplied means: increase, abound, multiply.

In other words, we don’t just receive a measure of grace and that’s all. The Bible is clear and Peter understood that we all need to know that we can grow in the grace of God.

There is more grace available…

…or I wonder if the truth of more revelation, and subsequently, the ability to walk in and receive God’s grace more fully is more accurate. All that God has for us is available. All that God has done is complete and sufficient. Jesus declared on the cross, “It is finished!” In other words, everything you need is now available.

But we need greater revelation of truth; we need to grow in the depths of the truth of God’s grace.
