Good morning people who yearn to be acceptable and pleasing to the Lord.

John 15:18-19 NIV “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.”

Being hated by the world is not a bad thing. In fact, Jesus told us that it would happen.

So, why are many Christians trying to be liked by the world?

It is true that many people – including sinners – liked Jesus. He personified compassion, mercy, love and grace. People saw something different in Jesus to the religious leaders of the day.

But the world system – including the spirit that is anti-Christ in nature – hated Jesus.

The day is upon us when Christians who love Jesus and stand on truth will be hated by the world. We will be called every name under the sun and our decency as human beings will be questioned.

The arguments will be compelling to many due to the deception that is happening. Good will be called evil, and evil will be called good (this is happening now).

So we must make some decisions ahead of time.

Will we choose to honour God or try and make people happy?

Will we be willing to lay down our lives for Christ or will we compromise in order to be liked and stay safe?

May we love God well in the days that we live in. Eternity matters dear friends, eternity matters.
