Good morning people who are literally the dwelling place of the Most High God.

Ephesians 3:16-17a NIV I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith…

I want to hone in on the word dwell. This is one of the richest words when it comes to our spiritual reality in God.

The word dwell in this scripture means ‘to house permanently’.

We are not granted visitation rights as believers – we are granted permanent residence!

The new birth opens the door for us to step into the spiritual reality of becoming a permanent home for God to live in by His Spirit. From occasionally visiting His people through a third party, God now inhabits His people through the intimacy of us becoming one with His Spirit!

This is all made possible through faith! It is such incredible news to know that we don’t need to earn our way into the position where we can pay for salvation ourselves through doing enough good works. Our best will always be insufficient, but God’s Best – Jesus Christ – is more than sufficient for us!

You are not a patched-up better version of your old self. Here’s the truth of your life in Christ:

1 Peter 2:9-10 NIV But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.
