#5657 – Believe for More

Good morning people who have an eager expectation of greater things in 2024.

Before I launch 2024 with what I feel is a prophetic intention of God for the year, let’s finish this year with the last couple of verses of Ephesians 3.

Ephesians 3:20-21 NIV Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

It’s time for many of us to believe again. When I say believe, I mean believe God for more again.

For many, 2023 has been exceptionally challenging. It has been for us. There were many contradictions, disappointments and hurts. There were many things that we are still waiting for. There are questions that are left unanswered, and all the while, we continue to press forward in God. Maybe your year was the same.

And then we come to this scripture which just happens to be where we are up to in our walk through Ephesians. I believe it is the perfect timing for this truth as we bookend another year.

Let’s not finish in defeat, but in victory! Let’s finish ‘still believing’ even while we are waiting to see. Let’s finish in faith my friends!

God the Father was glorified fully in His Son Jesus. And in addition to Paul stating this, he also states that the Father should be glorified in the church; in us as God’s people. I believe this deserves a big amen; yes Lord, let it be!

Our faith should not start with our faith. The context of the last few days of BIY are imperative to be the foundation of our faith and belief for more in God in 2024.

The foundation of our faith is the surpassing greatness of knowing the limitless love of God! From this endless pursuit of the extent of God’s love, we will be transformed more into the full measure of who God is!

And this becomes the starting point of our scripture today: NOW to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or image. NOW; in light of all that has just been said.

And so together Father, we declare we love You today. We are grateful for Your good work that continues to be done in us. And from this firm foundation, we declare we are ready for more; more of You and more through You. Be glorified in us Father, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
