Good morning people who live for God every day

Romans 1:16-17 I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes; first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”

The phrase that grabs me today in this passage is “For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed”.

We are not righteous in and of ourselves, nor can we ever be. Our best efforts fall terribly short and there is no way for us to be righteous…that is apart from Christ.

You see the gospel offers a righteousness that comes from God. That is incredibly good news. I’m not good enough
