#979 – Along The Path

Good morning people who receive God’s Word

Jesus told a parable about a farmer who went out to sow some seed. It mentions four outcomes that represent people’s lives.

Which example best describes where you are at?

Luke 8:5-8 “A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path; it was trampled on, and the birds of the air ate it up. Some fell on rock, and when it came up, the plants withered because they had no moisture. Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up with it and choked the plants. Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up and yielded a crop, a hundred times more than was sown.” When He (Jesus) said this, He called out, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”

God really wants us to understand what He is talking about here. I pray you understand and are empowered to grow.

The seed mentioned in all these examples is the Word of God.

Luke 8:11 This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is the Word of God.

Let’s look at the first outcome today.

Luke 8:12 Those along the path are the ones who hear, and then the devil comes and takes away the Word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved.

Many people have heard God’s Word but have not accepted Jesus as their personal Lord and Saviour. The wonderful news if that is you, is that it is not too late to receive God. Please understand, the devil does not want you to be free; he does not want you to enjoy relationship with the God who created you. But today I plainly tell you that Jesus is the only Way, the Truth and the Life, no one can come to the Father except through Jesus the Son. May you choose the Way, the Truth and the Life today.

If you know people who fall into this category, pray for them fervently. Remember it’s God’s will that none should perish. Pray against the enemy blinding them from the truth. Pray they will receive divine revelation of Who God is.
