#994 – Environment Matters

Good morning people who live in freedom

(By David McCracken)

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

Yesterday we mentioned the influence of the environment we live in and its impact upon us. Friends – environment matters.

The experts tell us that you don’t have to smoke a single cigarette to get lung cancer. You simply have to live and work in an environment in which others are heavy smokers.

Environment matters.

Years ago, they did an experiment with a baby shark. They placed it in a relatively small fish tank and saw that, although it aged, it only grew in size to the length that the fish tank would allow. They then released it into a huge lagoon-type pool and within a short space of time it rapidly grew to the size of a normal adult shark.

The shark simply adapted to its environment.

It’s rather tragic that many of God’s people do exactly the same, living in a restricted environment, rather than realising God has empowered them to create their own environment: one of faith.

Friends – environment matters.

You don’t have to wait another day. It’s time to swap the fish tank for the lagoon.

John 8:36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
