God is true to who He has always been and to who He will always be.
Galatians 5:25 NIV But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
God has faith; He has convictions that are based only on truth, and it is only God alone who determines what truth is.
God is also faithful. This can be seen two different ways.
Firstly, God is full of faith. He doesn’t have convictions about only a few things. He is the fulness of truth according to John 1:14.
Secondly, God is faithful.
The dictionary defines faithful as remaining loyal and steadfast. God is most definitely loyal and steadfast to those who are His own. We see this over and over again with the children of Israel in the Old Testament. Even though they were constantly unfaithful, God remained faithful. It is also true in our lives today.
The dictionary also defines faithful as true to the facts or original. God is most definitely true to the facts and the original because He IS the original! Everything that God created was a fact and was the original. None of it has changed! God is still congruent with His own original intention.
Now, let’s bring us into this story.
The fruit of the Spirit in our lives is evident when we remain loyal and steadfast to the truth of God’s stated faith and original intention.
We cannot say we are faithful to God if we do our own thing that is contrary to what God has determined something to be. It’s not possible.
God is highlighting faith and faithfulness in these days.
Do you have faith and are you faithful to God and to His original design and pattern?
