Good morning people who look forward to the day of the return of King Jesus.
The second coming is hope.
Acts 1:9-11 NIV After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight. They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.”
Jesus Christ is coming back again as the Triumphant King of kings and Victorius Lord of lords!!! Oh what a glorious day that will be!
Everything changed when you gave your life to Jesus. Old things became new. Dead things were replaced by Life. Hopelessness was eliminated by Hope.
And there is another day coming that sparks the same hope for everyone who has put their faith and their trust in Jesus.
As that Day approaches, here’s my encouragement to us all.
Firstly, let’s personally live ready for Christ’s return. Let us live wisely and ‘all-in’ for the glory of God. Let us be intimate with the heart of God and fully committed to fulfill all of His pre-ordained kingdom assignments for us.
Secondly, let’s encourage as many other Christians as possible to live the same way. There is something profoundly wonderful when ‘iron sharpens iron’ and when God’s children ‘spur each other on towards faith and good works’. Together is much better.
Thirdly, let’s be people who keep our eyes on and give our attention to what is still on the heart of God: lost people being found and dead people coming back to life! This is the priority of heaven! Jesus came ‘to seek and to save the lost’, and now, He is holding off coming back so that many more can come into the kingdom of heaven. You and I get to be part of this great end time harvest!
We serve an incredible God!
